ADULT AIKIDO CLASS (Co-Ed)

These classes are offered in an ongoing, monthly format. Dues are paid monthly, no contracts.

Mind/body coordination, self-control, centering, and balance are stressed.

Aikido is not offered as a street-fighting course of study, but rather as a physical avenue for people to improve their self-control and balance, on the mat and in all areas of life. Students will be taught "ukemi" (taking forward/reverse rolls, and falls) in order to progress to the more advanced techniques. Class time is spent in noncompetitive practice, and students set their own goals for development.

Visitors are encouraged to come watch a class anytime.

We are located on Springbrook Road between Mulford Road and Perryville Road, east of Rock Valley College, on the north side of the street.

From I-90, take the Riverside Blvd exit, and go west, toward Rockford. Make a left at the second light, onto Perryville Road. Then take a right at the first light, onto Springbrook Road. The Gymnastic Academy's parking lot is on the right, the first driveway after the intersection of Springbrook Road and Trainer Road.
